SEMINAR AND LECTURE IN CLASS

Title: Environmental Protection in the Activities and Practice of EU Institutions

Marco Onida will provide an insight into the work and functioning of the EU institutions with a specific focus on the EU Commission where he serves as an official of the Environmental Department. More specifically, in the last 32 years he has dealt with waste policy, infringement of EU environmental law, access to justice and forest protection. He is currently policy Assistant to the Director General.  He has been Secretary-General of the Alpine Convention.  
 

Pre-courses Business and Economics

What is it about?

Pre-courses are optional and free insight lectures to consolidate basic knowledge.
Classes will be in-presence or remote via Teams platform.
 

Who are they targeted to?

Pre-courses are open to all students attending first-year courses as well as those who have a mind to enroll but lack solid preparation on basic subjects and wish to provide themselves with the means for proficiently attending the university courses.

Class attendance is strongly recommended to all, regardless of the outcome of the admission
test.

Academic English

welcome Freshers' - 2025 Edition

All first-year students enrolled in the bachelor’s programmes at the Department of Economics and Management are invited to the ‘Welcome to Freshers’ event. 

This meeting will provide useful information about how lessons are organised (four-month terms, classes, ongoing tests, and exam sessions) as well as details on how to complete any additional Maths requirements (OFA), along with other helpful tips for starting university.

It will also be an opportunity to meet some professors and key staff members, including the Director of the Department and the Course Coordinators. 
Student Tutors will be available to answer questions and can be found at Contrada S. Chiara, no. 50.

At the Brescia campus, located at Contrada Santa Chiara, 50, the meetings will take place on Monday, 29th September, 10:00 a.m., Aula Magna S. Chiara Hall.

Erasmus+ DEM, call for applications

Prior to the opening of the Erasmus+ call for applications, Prof. Pontarollo, DEM's International Relations Coordinator, will hold an online meeting on December 16th at 1:30 p.m. to discuss the following topics:
- criteria for determining whether a course taught at a foreign institution can be considered equivalent to a course offered by UNIBS;
- criteria for grade conversion.
