The Energy Manager at the University of Brescia is Laura Bettoni, Head of the Sustainable Development Office.
The Energy Manager is responsible for energy conservation and the rational use of energy.
In this role, she promotes improvements in energy efficiency, monitors consumption, identifies opportunities for savings and decarbonisation, and supports the University in making strategic decisions aimed at reducing environmental impacts, energy costs and climate-changing emissions. The role acts as a link between technical expertise, environmental sustainability and organisational planning.
At national level, Laura Bettoni coordinates the ‘Energy’ Working Group of the Network of Universities for Sustainable Development (RUS), fostering collaboration between Italian universities on issues of energy efficiency, decarbonisation and the ecological transition of the university system.
As part of her duties, she also coordinates initiatives, projects and monitoring systems aimed at improving the University’s energy performance and achieving the sustainability objectives set out in the University’s strategic plan.
