Promoted by the Gender Commission of the University of Brescia as part of the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women, on Monday 3 November, from 9:30 a.m. to 12:45 p.m., in the Aula Magna of Medicine, a ceremony will be held to award four graduation prizes: two named in memory of Elena Lonati and Desirée Piovanelli, and two named “In Their Name”, in memory of all women victims of femicide.
Guest of honour Gino Cecchettin, representing the Giulia Cecchettin Foundation, will talk with the secondary school students in attendance.
Singer-songwriter Giulia Mei, winner of the “Voci per la Libertà – Amnesty International 2024” Critics' Award, will perform several songs, including “Bandiera”.
Participation is free but places are limited. Registration is therefore required: representatives will receive an email confirming the availability of the requested places and, subsequently, a communication with the organisational details of the event. A waiting list will also be set up for excluded schools; in the event of cancellations, classes will be progressively recovered.
