Professor Barbara Rita Barricelli from the Department of Information Engineering has been awarded the IFIP Service Award for 2023 (link to the official news).
IFIP (International Federation for Information Processing) is a non-governmental, apolitical, and non-profit organization founded in 1960 under the auspices of UNESCO. It represents over 40 national societies and scientific academies dealing with Computer Science, Technologies, and Sciences for Communication.
For Italy, the national society represented in IFIP is AICA (Italian Association for Computer Science and Automatic Calculation).
The IFIP Service Award is given to individuals who play a particularly active role in IFIP.
In particular, Professor Barricelli collaborates with the Technical Committee 13 Human-Computer Interaction as Vice-Chair and Italian Representative, Chair of the Working Group 13.6 Human Work Interaction Design from 2018 to 2023, and Vice-Chair for the next 3 years.
