The University of Brescia receives €746,753 in funding from the Ministry of University and Research as part of the call dedicated to "Transnational Initiatives (TNE) in Education." The initiative, part of Mission 4 "Education and Research" of the PNRR-National Recovery and Resilience Plan, has a total budget of 50 million euros to promote international cooperation between universities, encouraging the internationalization of Italian universities and promoting the Italian higher education model as a global best practice. The allocated funds will finance the mobility of teachers and students, the establishment of educational hubs jointly coordinated by Italian and foreign universities, and the organization of shared study programs and educational initiatives. About €350.000 were assigned to the University of Brescia by the Italian Erasmus agency for supporting mobilities of students and staff toward Australia, South East Asia, Africa, Georgia and Ukraine, Canada. Mobility toward Latin America is in the reserve list.
The funding received by the University of Brescia covers three project proposals:

“HERIT4Future”
Coordinated by: University of Bologna
Funding allocated to Unibs: €258,082
Dedicated to cooperation with a broad network of Latin American universities, it is coordinated by Prof. Roberto Ranzi, Vice-Rector for Internationalization Policies.
Great satisfaction from Rector Prof. Francesco Castelli, who states: "The University of Brescia continues its virtuous path of progressively affirming its international role, now also recognized at the ministerial level for the quality and innovativeness of its proposals. UniBs is leading the projects aimed at the African continent and actively participates in projects involving Asia and Latin America, demonstrating the extent of the international boundaries in which our University is involved".
"Like the recent substantial funding for Erasmus extra-European mobility" comments Prof. Roberto Ranzi, Deputy Rector for International Affairs, "the solidity of the international collaboration network built over the years by our university towards all continents is confirmed, demonstrating the foresight of our teaching and administrative staff, serving students and the territory".
