During the "Women at the Top Gala 2024" event, organized at the Teatro Lirico Giorgio Gaber in Milan by Il Sole 24 Ore in collaboration with the Financial Times and with the media partnership of Sky TG24, Prof. Elza Bontempi, Professor of the University of Brescia, received the prestigious WE Award – Women Excellence 2024 in the "Education and Research" category.
The motivation for the award reads “Elza Bontempi’s is an illustrious academic career capable of producing concrete impacts in a crucial field for the future such as the circular economy”.
The project, designed to promote female excellence, aims to recognize the contribution of women who, in various fields of Italian society, stand out as representative and strategic figures for the country's progress. In addition to "Education and Research," the categories awarded include "Business and Management," "Social Economy," "ESG, Welfare and CSR," and "Innovation," along with special awards.
The jury, chaired by Claudia Parzani, President of Borsa Italiana S.p.A., and composed of prominent figures such as Donatella Sciuto (Rector of Politecnico di Milano) and Mirja Cartia d’Asero (CEO of Gruppo 24 ORE), selected the winners from the finalists in each category.
This important recognition celebrates the talent, passion, and commitment of Prof. Elza Bontempi, a representative of Italian excellence in the academic and scientific world.
