Professor Stefano Rinaldi of the Department of Information Engineering has been awarded the Faculty Course Development Award by the Instrumentation and Measurement Society (IMS) of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers.
The Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) is an international association of professional scientists with the goal of promoting technological sciences. IEEE's primary aim is to seek new applications and theories in electrical engineering, electronics, computer science, biomedical engineering, and telecommunications. To this end, it organizes conferences and technical discussions worldwide, publishes technical texts, and supports educational programs. It is also involved in defining and publishing standards in these fields.
The IEEE IMS Faculty Course Development Award is bestowed to support and encourage faculty members worldwide to develop new courses or significantly revise existing ones, with a specific focus on instrumentation and/or measurement.
In particular, Professor Rinaldi has been recognized for the innovative educational project proposed for teaching "Advanced Sensing for Agriculture" within the Master's Degree program "Technologies for Ecological Transition in Agriculture" at the University of Brescia.
