Bandiera UE e bandiera UK

After two years of absence, the United Kingdom returns to be part of Horizon - the European framework program for research and innovation for the period 2021-2027 with a budget of 95.5 billion euros - due to an agreement stipulated with the European Union.

This is long-awaited and extremely important news for the entire European and British scientific community. UK scientists and researchers will once again be able to benefit from European Union funding and collaborate more closely with their EU counterparts. The association of the United Kingdom with Horizon will be effective starting on January the 1st, 2024, with effects on the 2024 and subsequent calls, within which, in case of approval, the United Kingdom partners included in the projects as beneficiaries will be able to receive an EU contribution.

According to the agreement between the European Commission and the British Government, the United Kingdom also joins the "Copernicus Earth" satellite observation space program.
