D.I.F.F. University Center for Study and Research: “Documentation, Information, and Education on Medications”

The objectives of the DIFF Center are:

• To promote, support, and strengthen basic and clinical pharmacological research, as well as pharmacovigilance programs and studies, in accordance with training and research plans developed in collaboration with general practitioners, pediatricians of private practice, scientific societies, professional associations and orders, and university institutions.
• To undertake information and education programs to foster understanding of the specific characteristics of different drug classes, with the aim of promoting the safe and appropriate use of medications.
• Provide physicians and all healthcare professionals with information on the properties, use, and side effects of medications.
• Organize seminars and scientific conferences to deepen understanding of the pharmaceutical products on the market, particularly with regard to mechanisms of action, therapeutic applications, side effects, and toxic effects.
• Establish relationships with monitoring centers to ensure continuous updates on the results of clinical trials conducted in Italy and around the world.
• Foster collaboration with patient advocacy groups, the medical and scientific community, and pharmaceutical manufacturers and distributors.
