Law (OFA)

OFA for students enrolled on the single-cycle Master’s degree programme in Law and the three-year Bachelor’s degree programme in Labour Relations and Corporate Law

You may enrol without having to fulfil Additional Learning Requirements (OFA) if you have achieved a score of at least 12/40 in the TOLC-SPS.

To enable students to fulfil their OFA requirements, the Department of Law organises a dedicated 20-hour course, taught by Prof. Valentina Viti; the dates will be announced at a later stage.

Verified attendance at the course counts as fulfilment of the OFA requirements for the student concerned.

Further options for fulfilling the OFA requirements are:

• retaking the TOLC-SPS, even after enrolment;
   
• by passing exams worth at least 18 CFU within the subject areas IUS/01, IUS/08, IUS/11, IUS/18, IUS/19 and IUS/20 by the September examination session of the first year of the degree programme. Students who do not make up the OFA requirements by the end of the first year of the degree programme in which they are enrolled will be admitted to the second year of that programme (and subsequent years) but, until they have fulfilled the OFA requirements, they will not be permitted to sit the assessment exams for years following the first.

Additional Learning Requirements (OFA) for students enrolled on the Bachelor’s Degree Programme in Political and Social Sciences

You may enrol without Additional Learning Requirements (OFA) if you have achieved a score of at least 12/40 in the TOLC-SPS / TOLC-E, with a minimum score of 4.5 in the Reasoning and Mathematical Language section.

To enable students to fulfil their OFA requirements, the Department of Law also organises a dedicated course. Passing the relevant final examination allows the students concerned to fulfil their OFA requirements. Alternatively, those enrolled in the first year of the programme may sit the TOLC-SPS/TOLC-E again, even after enrolment, during certain periods of the academic year as determined by the Programme Council. The OFA requirements may also be met by passing the assessment for the ‘Fundamentals of Microeconomics’ module within the ‘Fundamentals of Political Economy’ course.

Students who do not make up the OFA requirements by the end of the first year of the degree programme in which they are enrolled will be admitted to the second year of that programme (and subsequent years), but, until the OFA requirements have been met, they may not sit the assessments in the economics and statistics area, namely the assessments for modules offered in the scientific disciplinary sectors SECS-S/01, SECS-P/01, SECS-P/02, SECS-P/03 and SECS-P/05.
