Google Drive
The Google Drive service allows you to create and store documents in the cloud within your G Suite for Education account. The Google Drive for desktop client also allows you to synchronise documents saved on your devices with your cloud storage space on Drive.

Google Drive for desktop lets you choose between two usage modes:
Streaming mode, which allows local (streaming) use of resources and documents stored in the Drive cloud, without using disk space on the workstation in use (recommended and preferable mode);
Mirroring mode, which keeps a synchronised copy of your content on your computer as well as in the Drive cloud.
Both modes can be configured within the same Google Drive for desktop application.
Shared Drives
A shared Drive is a shared space in which:
Members share ownership of any file or folder;
Different access and editing privileges can be assigned to each user;
Files added by members who later leave the shared Drive remain stored there;
Files can be shared via link or invitation.
To create a shared Drive, open Google Drive, select Shared Drives and click New.
