Gender Budgeting Report

The Gender Budgeting Report represents the essential tool for promoting equality and inclusion in universities, also in order to make the allocation of financial resources more transparent and equitable. It’s a fundamental document for the integration of the gender perspective in all the policies of our University, in accordance with Sustainable Development Goal number 5 of the UN agenda 2030 (Achieve gender equality and empower all women and girls): gender equality represents not only a fundamental human right, but also a necessary precondition for peace, prosperity and sustainability.

The Gender Budgeting Report (BdG) has the function of assessing the "different impact of budgetary policy on women and men, in terms of money, services, time and unpaid work, also with a view to pursuing gender equality through public policies, redefining and reallocating resources accordingly" (as enunciated in Article 38 of the Public Finance and Accounting Law No. 196/2009) and, in this perspective, is a reflection of the University's programmatic decisions.

The preparation of Gender Budgeting Reports as a "consolidated practice in the social reporting activities of administrations" is a precise provision of Directive No. 2/2019 of the Minister of Public Administration. In line with this guideline, the University of Brescia has updated the data collected in the first Gender Budgeting published in September 2021 and referred to the data collected up to the year 2019/2020 by proposing a revision of the collection and analysis of data referring to the period 2021 in a new document, approved by Rectoral Decree 8/2024 of 05/01/2024.

The document is only available in Italian language.
