From September 30th to October 2nd, 2025, the international conference “Digital Cultural Heritage Twins Connections” will take place at the Faculty of Arts and Philosophy of the Universidad de Zaragoza (UNIZAR), organized in collaboration with the University of Turin (UNITO), the University of Brescia (UNIBS), and the Transilvania University of Brașov (UNITBV).

The event is part of the activities of the Cultural Heritage HUB of UNITA, for which Prof.ssa Giustina serves as the coordinator at the University of Brescia.
Faculty members from our university will participate in the session “Virtual
Reconstruction, Architecture and Legal Framework”, presenting the results of
research conducted by the interdepartmental team from DICATAM and DIGI.

Their contributions will highlight the scientific and multidisciplinary role of the
University of Brescia in the field of digitalization and enhancement of cultural
heritage.

The conference marks the final phase of the HerOnDigital Cultural Heritage
Twins Connection research project, funded by UNITA – Universitas Montium as
part of the 2024 Starting Grants – Tourism and Cultural Heritage in a Digital
World (Cultural Heritage HUB).

The HerOn project aimed to explore, integrate, and disseminate the potential of
Digital Twins (DTs) applied to architectural, archaeological, and natural cultural
heritage. In particular, architecture and the built heritage — along with their
historical, theoretical, and technical knowledge — were at the core of the project's analytical and methodological development.

The University of Brescia's team focused on digital modelling for the study,
conservation, and rehabilitation of architectural heritage, through some
exemplary cases from Brescia, as well as on the legal framework related to the
digitisation of cultural assets, making a significant contribution to the project's
scientific objectives.
