As part of the Erasmus+ 2021-2027 program and the UNITA - Universitas Montium Alliance, the University of Brescia promotes and funds Erasmus Blended Intensive Programme (BIP) mobility for students of the University of Brescia.
BIPs are intensive study programs that allow students to experience international mobility by combining a short physical mobility abroad (ranging from 5 to 30 days) with a mandatory virtual component.
The objectives of the BIPs are to:
- Offer students the opportunity to have an international experience as an alternative to long-term mobility, in an inclusive framework;
- Support the development of innovative learning and teaching methods;
- Stimulate the creation of transnational and multidisciplinary courses.
BIPs bring together groups of students from at least three Erasmus+ Program Universities. The BIP programs may include courses where international and multidisciplinary teams work on common challenges, such as sustainable development.
Characteristics of BIPs:
- Virtual mobility combined with a short period of physical mobility ranging from 5 to 30 days;
- A minimum of 3 ECTS credits awarded to participants (according to the Erasmus+ scheme and the procedures defined by the individual universities in the Learning Agreements);
- A minimum of 15 participants from at least 3 Erasmus+ Program universities from 3 different countries.
PERIODS OF BIP IMPLEMENTATION
UNITA BIPs take place throughout the year, but there are typically 3 main periods, with corresponding application windows in the preceding months:
