The new implementing Decrees of the Italian PNRR (National Recovery and Resilience Plan - Next Generation EU Fund) have made funds available for PhD scholarships having an industrial character.
The Italian Ministerial funds available under the Ministerial Decree n. 117/2023 are assigned to Universities as implementing partners of the economic measure aimed at enhancing research and development activities jointly with business companies.
The support takes the form of co-financing at 50% the three-year amount of a PhD scholarship. The 50% equals to 30,000.00 euros
The Ministry of Universities and Research allocated funds equal to 88 scholarships for 2023 to the University of Brescia to open up posts in partnership with business companies.
This 2023 the Italian Government offers to business companies the opportunity to benefit of a two-year tax relief when hiring of PhDs, research fellows and researchers in addition to co-financing directly PhD posts with scholarships.

The deadline to fill-in the online form to present the expressions of interest has been extended to June 16th, 2023
