The Observatory originated from the transformation of the Centre for Study and Research in Exercise and Sports Physiology, directed by Prof. Claudio Orizio and funded by EULO.

Three-Year Activity Plan (2014-2016)

The Observatory's research and development activities include:

  1. Establishing collaborative initiatives with the “Brixia Accessibility Lab”, recently created within the Department of Civil Engineering, Architecture, Land, Environment and Mathematics of the University of Brescia.
  2. Investigating neuromuscular function and motor control in patients affected by Parkinson’s disease or by the consequences of acquired brain injury and cerebrovascular lesions.
  3. Developing additional research activities considered of scientific interest and relevance during the three-year period, in line with the Observatory’s mission of advancing knowledge on physical activity, human movement, and health.
