Cryogenic bank

The ISO 9001:2015-certified cryogenic bank enables biological samples to be stored in liquid nitrogen vapour, with real-time monitoring of parameters, immediate fault reporting and alarm activation. The biobank is equipped with 6 Dewar flasks, each with a capacity of 15,600 sample positions. Every activity carried out at the biobank is recorded in dedicated management and monitoring software. There is also a further certified ‘Bio Management’ software programme for sample archiving, which creates and prints labels for the vials. All data – including both cryogenic container monitoring data and data from the biological sample management and archiving software – are backed up at regular intervals. Scheduled maintenance and inspections are carried out by certified companies; in addition, an on-call and emergency response service is available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
