The group
The "Urban Planning and Transport" research group deals with the themes of the city and the territory with structured personnel belonging to the fields of Technique and urban planning (ICAR / 20) and Transport (ICAR / 05). The two souls of the research group are Urbanism and spatial planning and Infrastructure and mobility systems.
Research activity
The Urbanism and Spatial Planning research group deals with techniques and methods of planning and programming for the transformation of urban and territorial systems; of organizational and morphology structures of human settlements; of tools and models useful for the assessment of plans and the related impacts on the environment and the landscape.
The research group of Infrastructures and Mobility Systems deals, especially in the urban environment, with techniques, methods of planning, design and monitoring of sustainable infrastructures and mobility; collective transport systems; road safety plans; mobility systems and infrastructures for weak road users; methods for evaluating design project alternatives; of innovative infrastructures and ITS technologies.
