Access to the Libraries and Services
Access to the structures and rooms of the Libraries is open and free of charge.
Access to Library services is in compliance with the Regulations on the activities and services of the University Libraries_ITA and the Service Charter of the University Library System_ITA and is differentiated according to the user's category. In order to use the services, institutional users must identify themselves by showing the card issued by the University of Brescia or another identity document; external users must register in advance by providing an identity document and their tax code to the staff in charge.
For more information about the categories of users, please see the attached document below.
Agreements
The University of Brescia can stipulate agreements (including for payment) with public and private entities, with the aim of extending certain Library services normally reserved for its institutional users to other people identified as beneficiaries. Each agreement specifies the duration of the agreement itself and the type of provided services, with the related modalities and conditions of provision.
The University Library System keeps an updated list of the partner entities. Currently, the following are ongoing:
- a three-year agreement with Brescia Court of Appeal, expiring on 6 August 2026;
- an agreement with the Urban Library System for the period 2025-2030, expiring on 31 December 2030.
A template letter to ask the University of Brescia for the stipulation of an agreement to access the Library services can be found in the attached documents.
